There are newspaper accounts of the legal disputes in which the father, mother and some of the children were involved during their time in Western Australia as well as obituaries. The McArdle family were paid £25,000 for their land where the Post Office stands in Wellington Street, Perth, it was the site of their livery stable. In their old age Annie and Susan retired to the Convent of Mercy, Victoria Square Perth where they lived until they died. The bulk of all the siblings estates went to charitable institutions connected with the Catholic Church as none of them married. |
