Further InformationFrances Bailey’s first marriage at Madras in 1836/7 was to Thomas Holland (B c1804) a soldier of the 39th Regiment, Thomas died 13th April 1838 (Good Friday) at Bangalore India, the following year she married John Manning also a soldier of the 39th regiment as was the custom at the time. Frances died before John embarked on the Phoebe Dunbar in 1853.
John saw service at Zorapore (Kurnool) 18th October 1839 and at Maharajpore 29 December 1843
