1852/53 His wife Nan mentioned in the Surgeon Superintendent’s report during the passage suffering from constipation Menosphagia.
Edwin Leary age 3 also received medical treatment during the voyage
After the arrival of the Dudbrook some of the pensioners raised questions about their treatment by the Surgeon Superintendent and an inquiry was held Patrick Leary complained the SSI did not allow them to sit down while on watch to which the SSI said in his defense it made the men look like shoemakers.
