Further Information | Cloghroe, County Cork which is a village and townland on the main Cork to Banteer road in County Cork, Ireland. It lies 7 miles northwest of Cork, 1839-1842 Patrick is with 46th Regiment at Jersey Island 1851 Census HO 107/2527/23 Wesley Place St. Heliers, Jersey 1852/53 His wife Nan mentioned in the Surgeon Superintendent’s report during the passage suffering from constipation Menosphagia. Edwin Leary age 3 also received medical treatment during the voyage After the arrival of the Dudbrook some of the pensioners raised questions about their treatment by the Surgeon Superintendent and an inquiry was held Patrick Leary complained the SSI did not allow them to sit down while on watch to which the SSI said in his defense it made the men look like shoemakers. 1854 Occupied No 1 Cottage Henderson Street Fremantle |
