Further Information | 1861 Census of Scotland RG 09 Kinglassie Village, Kinglassie, Fife, Scotland Daniel Kilpatrick age 39 Corpl 92nd Regiment born Whitekirk, Haddingtonshire together with his daughter Catherine age 12, and Son Daniel George born 1861Perthshire are visitors in the home of Simon Fraser age 39, coachman, born Inverness shire and his wife Jessie age 37 born Blackwell, Perthshire and their 6 year old daughter Mary born St. Ninian’s Stirlingshire. The children are described as niece & nephew while no relationship is given for Daniel; Fraser was the maiden name of his first wife Mary. Also in the 1861 Census are the other Kilpatrick children David age 8, Thomas age 6, and Mary age 11 they are scholars at a school in Perth, Perthshire, The Burgh of Perth, Scotland,. Mary Kilpatrick must have died between the birth of Daniel George in 1860 and the taking of the 1861 census. Daughter Margaret is also not in the census.
