Will or Probate | Cons 3403/1897/124 Cons 3403/1899/061 His estate was valued at £1170 Appointed his wife Sarah as sole executrix however she died without finishing the task. “I direct that at my death all my proceeds after my personal estate shall be realised and that the payments to be applied to herself those of my children who are under age and in the case of her death such fund to be so applied under trustees named by her while the youngest child becomes of age the surplus of such fund if any to be divided equally between such of my children as were under age at the time of my death. As to my real estate on the death of my said executrix I bequeath 40 acres of the South portion of my grant at North Lake to my step son Thomas bush the remaining eighty acres of said grant together with my Fremantle Town lot 789 in Mary Street to my son William and to my son Daniel my two town lots 601 and 602 with two houses thereon in South Terrace. As to my town lots 4 and 5 situated in Attfield street if not sold at the time of my death I bequeath then to my said Executrix in her own right to be disposed of as she may please.” |

The 2nd queens regiment was reformed in 1857, and the 2nd Battalion went to China in 1860 at the time of the Second Opium War, fighting at the Third Battle of Taku Forts and the capture of Beijing.[27] Two step-sons BUSH Joseph and Thomas James travelled with JOSLIN David and wife. 1841 Census HO107/327/2 Clavering Essex has another member of the family John Joslin born 1791, as no relationships are given in this census it looks like David’s uncle. David Joslin’s name was on the Nominal roll for the Enrolled Guard in 1881. |
