Further InformationDischarge: While serving in the Crimea received frost bite to the right hand and arm which rendered the amputation of the right forefinger necessary after which he was sent home invalided. He has not since been able to handle his rifle. Nor is he ever likely to make an efficient soldier. His disability was the result of the cold and fatigue he was exposed to Scutari Hospital, H & R 15 Mar 1855. [WO100-33-207 & 308]
