Will or Probate | Will Cons 3404/1888/880 made 1st December 1884: probate granted to wife Mary 15th May 1888 Stephen left his entire estate to his ‘dear wife’ Mary Hogan. He expressed the wish that she would make a will leaving the landed property so that it did not pass out of the family. Will Mary Hogan Cons 3403/1897/065 Mary made her will on 7th November 1892 leaving the estate she had inherited from her husband Stephen Hogan to her grandson John Stephen Hogan directing he was not to sell the land and on his death he should leave the said land to someone bearing the name Hogan. British Army, Worldwide Index Stephen Hogan 675 Private 17th foot location Colaba Discharge due to chronic hepatitis In the Court Martial for Captain Foss amongst the other pensioners who entrusted him with money for safe keeping Captain Foss had defrauded Stephen Hogan of money due to the value of £3/15/10 Hogan (Hogen) family included in York Western Australia 1859 census: “Stephen aged 54 years (RC), Mary aged 35 years (RC) – married in Ireland: Stephen (son) aged 12 years (RC) – born England can read and write” Stephen had 3 ½ acres of wheat, 4 acres ready for cultivation, ¼ acre kitchen garden, 7 head of cattle and 1 pig |
