Discharge due to an injury to the left foot by the trail of a gun at exercise
During the voyage on the William Hammond Robert received medical treatment for an ulcer and phlegmon
In the Court Martial for Captain Foss amongst the other pensioners who entrusted him with money for safe keeping Captain Foss had defrauded Robert Helliwell of £5/10/- money due and another £50 which he had deposited with him-interestingly £15 had been in gold.
