The reference list was compiled by Jack Peters, probably using the original records of Matthew Cull (1852-1938), who was for 59 years, the Verger of St Johns Anglican Church, held in Albany History Collection. These references are at the Albany Library in the History Collection and/or  the library’s collection of the Albany Regional Family History Society. .

Discharge due to loss of right ring finger by amputation after shell wound received 21st July. Has been under treatment at Brompton Hospital for syphilis for the last 4 months of an aggressive form – general health much broken.
19th November 1880 shown on roll of Enrolled Guard as occupying quarters with wife. His letters of Administration say no children.
