In the 1851 Census HO 107/2305/33/59 Henry Gane age 42 a Greenwich Out Pensioner is living at Lincoln Street Bradford Yorkshire with his wife Mary age 45 also born Hitchen Herefordshire and her son George Taylor age 10 born Leicestershire England.
Henry died of a ‘fracture of the spine of his neck’ when he accidentally fell down a flight of stairs at this home in Battery Point when drunk.
