Discharge due to hematemesis, palpitations, dyspepsia, emaciated and weak.
In 1863 Thomas Ellis nominated his sisters in law Emma (16) Elizabeth (14) and Agnes (11) Carey as Government immigrants. He gave Mr Thomas Flint and James Carey of Victory Vault Ancoat Street Manchester as references.
25th June 1868 Ann Ellis charged her husband Pensioner Thomas Ellis with assaulting her-he was cautioned and discharged.
There are sundry charges of being drunk against Thomas and the occasional charge against Ann.
It appears that son Frederick was born after the death of his father Thomas in 1871.
9th July 1881 Ann Ellis applied for a land grant however as her husband Thomas Ellis, 2nd regiment did not apply she was not entitled.
