Unfit for further service due to declining strength
One of the witnesses to the marriage of John and Catherine was Martin Byrne who was also a guard on the Sea Park.
His pension was paid in Victoria until the September Quarter 1886 and was returned unclaimed 30th September 1887.
A child Elizabeth was born to John Dunn and Catherine Darcey at Fremantle in 1855 and another child Charles was born to John Dunn and Catherine Dawsey in Adelaide on 1st August 1859.
An Elizabeth Dunn died age 13 months on 15th February 1859 at Mt. Charles Nairn South Australia (Father John)
A John Dunne died in 1886 age 73 who may be EPG John Dunn, however his wife was Margaret Moss. A John Dunn married Margaret Moss in 1868 which suggests that his wife Catherine died in 1864.
