Discharge: Unfit for further service due to chronic pains and Dyspnoea caused by climate and Military service.
Joseph Doran was accompanied on the voyage of the Merchantman by his wife Elizabeth and children Ellen and Henry-their conduct was rated ‘very good’.7 November 1871 Elizabeth Doran charged her husband Joseph Doran with assaulting and beating her on the 31st Inst. Remanded.
Son Henry Doran was admitted to (Royal) Adelaide Hospital 9th October 1899 age 41, he was a married man, Roman Catholic, a labourer residing at Field Street Adelaide, born Ireland and had been 36 years in the Colony having arrived on the Merchentman (sic)
Henry and Agnes Doran returned to Western Australia and they are both buried at Karrakatta RC Portion AA 0388 Agnes having died 24th March 1917.
