Also in the Sutledge Campaign in 1843 and was present at the battle of Sobraon on the 10th February 1846. Also in the Punjaub Campaign in 1848-9 present at the passage of the Chenab 4 December 1848 and at the battled of Chillianwalla 23 January 1849 and Goojerat 20th February 1849” Discharge due to his physical incapacity to perform his duties efficiently- no known cause. Listed as “Corporal of Pensioners” at time of Lucy’s baptism (18th September 1859 – this would have been a local ranking) |
