Further Information | British Army worldwide index 1841 John Corcoran 664 3rd regiment stationed at Kurnaul Bengal Discharge due to Rheumatism Possible marriage was 15th January 1849 at St. Patrick’s Belfast City to Cath McCartney on 15th January 1849. 1858 John Corcoran was one of the pensioners who had their cottage built under a scheme authorised by Staff Officer Bruce where by the amount available to pensioners was not enough to cover the cost of the cottage (£47) and they agreed to pay 1/- per day towards the extra expense, however from 1st August to 31st January John Corcoran paid at the rate of 2/- per day. . A man with same name appears on Bishop Salvado’s census in Albany 1854. Corcoran’s WO23/46 1855-1866 categorically said he came to WA in the Runnymede 1856 |
