Further Information | Character described as “Unexceptionable” on discharge Discharge due to ‘time expired.’ First selected as a convict guard in 1861 but left sick at Weymouth Devon. The Surgeon Superintendent of the Merchantman recorded his conduct as ‘very good.’ Thomas Cope is buried with his brother James in the Jarrahdale Pioneers Cemetery WA, headstone records both deaths. |
