Shortly after their father’s death Mary, Martha and Catherine were admitted to the Roman Catholic Orphanage on 8th May 1880. Mary was age 15 and there is the notation that she was nearly blind and had to be led around. Martha was age 5 years and Catherine was just 1 year and 5 months of age. Unfortunately the next page of the document is damaged and we do not know when they were released or to whom.
