Further Information | British Army Worldwide Index 1851 Patrick Casey 2179 Private 64th Foot Location Hyderabad India 1861 As above location Canterbury Discharged at own request having served 21 years In possession of 5 Good Conduct badges with pay and a medal for long service and good conduct with a £5 gratuity 10th November 1880 Mrs Casey is living at the Pensioner Barracks Mt. Eliza Shortly after their father’s death Mary, Martha and Catherine were admitted to the Roman Catholic Orphanage on 8th May 1880. Mary was age 15 and there is the notation that she was nearly blind and had to be led around. Martha was age 5 years and Catherine was just 1 year and 5 months of age. Unfortunately the next page of the document is damaged and we do not know when they were released or to whom. 10th January 1881 widow included in a list of those to whom Quartermaster items were issued at Perth Barracks Wife marries 2nd time EPG Thomas Evans 1st Regiment 2nd Battalion 60th Rifles and 44th Regiment in 1881 Perth Western Australia. Daughter Sarah worked as a nurse. |
