| Further Information | British Army Worldwide Index 1841 Location Gosport Discharge due to being about to embark for Australia in charge of convicts It looks like the family did not come to WA with Henry and he returned to England soon after arrival. In the 1861 Census RG 09/3879/25/14 Henry Brister (Chelsea Pensioner) is a Sergeant Major in the Northumberland Militia living with his wife and 6 children at the militia Depot Yard Green Batt Alnwick Northumberland. Son Henry enlisted in the 22nd regiment and in the 1871 census he is at Aldershot as a private no 1718. |
