Further Information | Newspaper accounts often refer to this man as “General” Bonner. He was a heavy drinker but appeared to become a teetotaler in the 1870s. Between January 1882 and March 1883 Cork Pension district shows in-patient Cork Asylum. Some information for this man confusing. Discharge document shows increase in Pension in 1878. However, all documents in Cork to March 1883 still show pension at 6d per diem. |
