William Betts was paid in Western Australia to December 1858 when he returned to England and his pension paid Coventry
1871 Census William is living with his family at Towns End Neithrop Banbury Oxfordshire, he is working as a skinner’s labourer (fellmonger)
1881 Census William is still living in Neithrop and is unemployed curiously he does not say he is a pensioner although his pension is recorded as being paid in Coventry up to 1875(no further records). Sarah is not with the family although William is married not a widower.
