Wife Jane paid as “Female Searcher” (of prisoners at the Greenough Lock-up)
Discharge due to a gunshot wound on 18th June 1855 during an attack on the Redan. There was “Considerable deformity of the left humerus after gunshot fracture above the condyle, forearm slightly contracted, also flesh wound lower right side of chest, ball afterwards being cut out midway between anterior superior spinous process of the ilium and the navel.”
During the voyage of the Merchantman Thomas Anderson was a sergeant of the Guard, his conduct rated by the Surgeon Superintendent was very good. He was accompanied by his wife Jane E and children Anna, Emily Jane and William.
