| Further Information | British Army Worldwide index 1841 Location Bellary Madras 1851 Location Devonport 1851 Census RG 107/1882/296/76 Denis Brown a single man was in the Military hospital at Devonport. Discharge due to a ulceration of the back of his right thigh and contracted power of the knee, constitution broken down WA Bi-Centennial Dictionary has incorrect information says he died 1871 seeing he died in 1866 not possible. If he was single and in hospital in 1851 he just did not have time to get married and father 5 children by 1856 unless he married a widow with children. He was not a carpenter nor wheelwright either. |
