| Further Information | Served with Army of the Sutlej in 1845 and present at the action at Moodkee entitled to a medal. Present at Ferozeshar where he was wounded. Discharge due to glandular swellings, impaired constitution and a gunshot wound to the left leg. A son James Weldon age five contracted rubella on the voyage of the Sea Park. James was admitted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital on 5th October 1865 age 12, he said he was born in Ireland Patrick Weldon was admitted to Royal Adelaide Hospital on 30th May 1901 aged 46, he said he was a married man RC, residing in Solomon Street and was a street musician and had been born in WA. Robert Weldon was admitted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital 7 times between 1874 and 1884 he lived in various location around Adelaide and said he was either a labourer or in the latter years a hawker. He said he came to SA in the Swan Son Robert was also admitted to the hospital on five occasions over the same period of time his occupation was given a bootmaker he was born in South Australia. |
