Discharge at own request having completed 21 years’ service
Sergeant Bradley was appointed Acting Sergeant Major for the voyage of the Corona.
John Bradley died during a fire at his home at Lauriston near Kyneton on 8th July 1887. A Magisterial Inquiry found the death was accidental. The inquiry noted he was a widower his wife having died some years previously. It also lists among his effects were several musical instruments as apparently he was a good musician.
The name of John’s father differs on documents, Alexander on his marriage and Albert on his pension transfer document.
