Further Information | British Army Worldwide Index 1841 Charles Brannagan 328 Private 31st Foot Location Agra Discharge due to pneumonia and chronic hepatitis On 21st October 1853 the Staff Officer at Belfast was advised that Charles Branigan (sic) 31st Regt @1/- would be sent as part of the convict guard on the next ship available. The Staff Officer was reprimanded for not including Branigan’s son on the list. 18th November 1853 Charles and family were told to go to Liverpool where they were to take the first available boat to Tilbury Fort to report to Captain McNair. Daughter Susan aged 3 years was one of the children who contracted Rubella during the voyage of the Sea Park. Charles also received medical treatment during the voyage. |
