Further Information | 1829-1836 twice tried by Divisional Courts Martial – TNA ADM 157/672/8 and had received corporal punishment (150 lashes) Discharge due to a hernia 1831 British Royal Navy Personnel Records – a Private at Woolwich with the 16th Company 1841 Census – Plumstead Kent – HO 107, Piece 484, folio 19, page 22 George age 30, is living with his wife Ann age 25 and their one year old daughter Sarah at Farm Yard Plumstead and working as a blacksmith. Also living with them is the 25 year old George Hawkins a carpenter. (All ages are rounded.) After settling at Kew Melbourne George set up business as a blacksmith.
