Further Information | Further Information Discharge due to gunshot wound to the left side of his back and abdomen involving the left kidney sustained at the battle of Alma 20th September 1854 1851 Census HO 107/2003/210/37 Burslem Staffordshire Edward Stanton is a single man aged 20 a day labourer born Drayton Salop a lodger in the home of Robert Reeves,Edward Stanton was a subscriber to the Pensioners Benevolent Fund. On 3rd November 1868 and 13 April 1869 Edward Stanton was charged with violently assaulting his wife Elizabeth in a public street. On each occasion he was bound over to keep the peace for 3 months. Elizabeth was knocked down by a horse and rider in Goderich Street Perth. She was taken to the Colonial Hospital but died three days later |
