Further InformationIn the 1851 Census HO 107 George Noire (sic) is living at 9 Society Street Edinburgh with his wife Hanah (sic). George is age 46 and a Chelsea Out-Pensioner working as a porter at the Royal Infirmary, he was born Tyrie Aderdeenshire.
Hannah is age 39 and born Ireland.
In 1855 in a survey of the pensioner Village North Fremantle George Norrie and his wife are listed as Protestants they have no children SROWA Cons 36 Volume 334 folio 30
Shortly after the survey the temporary home of George Norrie was burned down with the loss of all his belongings and cash.
In 1856 George Norrie relinquished P18 North Fremantle in favour of Henry Lord
4th February 1875 George Norrie was admitted to the (Royal) Adelaide hospital, age 63, born Aberdeen, Presbyterian, a married man living Elder Street, worked as a shepherd and had been in the Colony for 18 years (no ship of arrival)
