Further Information | British Army Worldwide Index 1851 Patrick Nowlan (sic) 2026 Private 28th Ft location Manchester 1861 As above location Waterford Discharges at own request having served upward of 21 years In the 1851 Census Patrick Nowlan (sic) is an unmarried soldier residing with the 28th Regiment at the Barracks Salford Manchester Patrick Nolan died as result of an accident when he fell out of his cart while returning to his home at Coogee after collecting his pension at Fremantle. The Inquest found “death while under the influence of liquor.” After Patrick’s death his widow Ellen Nolan applied for Letters of Administration as Patrick had died without making a will. Ellen Lucas died in Fremantle Hospital from ‘senile debility.’ |
