Underneath the main menu, on the left, is a Search box.  You can use this to search for information on the website.

Also underneath the main menu   is a ‘breadcrumb’ menu which indicates exactly where you are on the site.

HOME: The Home page contains a brief introduction to the site.

ABOUT US: For background information.  Hovering over the name ‘About Us’ reveals a further 3  sub-pages. This sections contains  (1) details of The Enrolled Pensioner Guards Special Interest Group of the West Australian Genealogical Society Inc.; (2)  the history of the EPF, (3)  the history of the Ships Project and  (4) acknowledgements of all those who played a part in bringing this research to where it is today.

SHIPS: This section contains a list of all the convict ships  that came to Western Australia  between 1850  and 1868. Click on the name of a ship to access details of the ship and a list of the Pensioner Guards who arrived on her.

EPF PROFILES: This section contains profiles of all the EPF men.  It is still in development.  Completed profiles are indicated by being in a dark blue colour and are active links while those yet to be completed are in pale grey and not active.  Click on any dark blue link to take you to a  profile of the man concerned.  Click on the ‘Return to [ship name]’ link to take you back to the list of men on that particular ship or you can use the ‘breadcrumb’ menu to return to the  EPF profiles page.
PLEASE NOTE:   the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the Hougoumont in Western Australia  on 9 January 1868  provided the impetus  to launch our website at this time.  We have concentrated    initially  on the men who arrived on her as a fitting introduction to the profiles of  all the men of the Enrolled Pensioner Force.   These will be added gradually  over time.
